Physician assistants are able to provide a wide range of examinations and procedures nether the direction and shut supervision of the patient's normal physician. This clinical partnership allows for boosted time to be spent with patients by the doctor-PA team depending on the treatment, didactics, and follow-up care needed. Many treatments are of a nature which allows follow up assessment by the PA, and appointments with the PA can often be scheduled sooner than with the supervising physician. In general, the supervising doctor is always working in the same clinic with the PA and is readily available should further collaboration exist needed.
